Any person who has been deemed Competent on a Basic Sniper Course or Special Forces Sniper Course, administered under the training authority of the Australian Army, and who agrees in writing to support the purposes of the company, is eligible to apply to be an ordinary member of the Army Sniper Association. Applicants for ordinary membership in the Army Sniper Association must provide supporting documentation to prove eligibility. We perform membership vetting prior to approving every application.
A person who has demonstrated exceptional support to the Australian Army sniper capability and/or veteran Australian Army sniper community or can otherwise demonstrate a strong connection to the Australian Army sniper community (such as dependants of serving, veteran or deceased snipers) may be offered membership as an honorary member by the Association Board.
Foundation Memberships are now open for a limited time. Join now for only $30 and enjoy Foundation Member benefits and bragging rights for life.
Review the online application form carefully before you begin. It will be easier if you have all the necessary information before starting the process. You do not have the option to “Save and Continue Later” if you need to do it in more than one sitting or are otherwise interrupted.
Your completed application will be reviewed and verified. Once a decision is made, you will be notified. The length of time between application submission and membership decision/notification of applicants will depend on the schedules of the Membership Review Team volunteers. Once your application has been approved you will be contacted by e-mail and provided with an invoice that will include a payment link.
If you have any questions about the application, or about the status of your application after submitting it, please email admin@sniper.org.au
Email your ADO Service Record or proof of sniper qualification here, along with filling out the form below. We will link your proof of qualification with the membership application for review and get back to you via the email provided.
The ASA does not hold any Service Records for serving or veteran snipers. However, some Service Records may be available through ADF Records. Click the link below, download the request form, and email the completed form to: adf.records@defence.gov.au
