The Army Sniper Association and its members continue to honour our contract with Australia through our commitment to advancing the security and prosperity of our great nation. We pledge to support the enhancement of the Australian Army sniper capability, while advancing the welfare and education of past, present and future Australian Army snipers.

NIOA Visit

NIOA sent out an invitation to the Army Sniper Association and its members to visit their facility and provide an update on the LAND-159 Lethality System Project.

Greg Robertson
Chairman
Read Bio

Greg is an Special Forces veteran and a highly experienced sniper with a passion for advancing sniper capabilities. He left Defence in January 2023 following a 25 year career, with 13 years service as a sniper within the 2nd Commando Regiment. Greg is known within Defence for innovative and creative training design, and implementing learning strategies that improve student outcomes. Greg is now a High School Social Science teacher, junior rugby coach, and the founder of the Army Sniper Association Australia.

Doug Sheridan
Director

Doug is a veteran of the Special Air Service Regiment. He served 33 years in the Australian Army and Special Forces in both full-time and reserve capacities. Doug was an Army and Police Sniper for 28 years. Today, Doug's dedication to service continues in managing and developing veteran support programs. His commitment to continuous learning is evident in his academic achievements. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Queensland, with studies at prestigious institutions like Harvard Business School and Copenhagen Business School.

Ryan Shaw
Director

Ryan is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has a strong background in corporate governance and strategy gained from over 13 years’ experience in the Australian Army, Government and Defence Industry. He has a sound working knowledge of not-for-profit entities and ability to apply that knowledge to improve organisational performance. Ryan has a strong background in developing and implementing strategic and compliance frameworks, and ensuring that they meet organisational corporate governance, vision and risk management obligations.

Celso remains employed by the ADF and acts as a conduit between the Army Sniper Association, it's serving members, and Army HQ. With over 30 years of service, and 25 years as an Army sniper, Celso's knowledge and experience ensures the Association best meets the needs of our serving members and the Australian Army's sniper capability.
